Initial Menopause Consultation ( for all new clients ) - up to 40 minutes - £120 (one-off fee)
Our current consultation rate offer of £120 is a one-off fee and applies to all new clients. It also includes a FREE follow up appointment should HRT be prescribed at your initial appointment.
If, you would like to try HRT, a private HRT prescription cost will be in addition to the consultation fee. The cost is set by the pharmacy we use, and you will not be able to use any pre-payment or exemption certificates at this point as these do not apply to private prescriptions. However, if we issue 3 months supply of HRT, you can then request further supplies via your own GP which can then be issued at NHS prescription tariff prices and pre-payment/exemption certificates can then be applied. ( testosterone is not included the pre exemption certificate )
Follow Up Menopause Consultation for existing clients ( outwith the Introductory offer )- £60. This is usually by telephone.
Testosterone Consultations
For new or existing clients who are already established on HRT please contact us first of all at support@yourmenopausenurse.co.uk
as we can offer essential testing advice before you book your appointment with us.
What You'll Receive
During your consultation, we will use evidence based guidance to talk through your treatment options and your symptoms and we'll support you to help make informed decisions. You will also receive a same day report after your initial consultation, which highlights what has been discussed as well as any prescribing outcomes. Additional support following a consultation can include Your Menopause Nurse articles and links to other supporting resources which will be tailored to your own specific needs.
We are also available for follow-up consultations, usually around three months after your initial consultation if a prescription has been offered. If you require further help before the three months, you can still make a booking to meet with us.
*Should you already be using HRT and wish to try Testosterone, we ask that you have a serum blood test to measure your current testosterone level before your consultation with us. You would also need to be established on HRT before adding in Testosterone.
Options for having the above blood test carried out in advance include asking whether your GP would be happy to do this for you, or else arranging for a serum blood test to be carried out via Medichecks. (This option would be at your own cost, but we can help you receive a discount when booking tests with them via our website link)
Only serum blood tests can be accepted. Unfortunately we cannot accept finger prick sample results.
We are unable to prescribe Testosterone for you without receiving serum blood results in advance or if you are not already established on HRT.
Please Contact Us at support@yourmenopausenurse.co.uk to supply these results before your Testosterone consultation and include your full name and date of birth in the email as well as your results. The mail box is monitored Mon-Fri and will only ever be viewed by Your Menopause Nurse.
