There may be occasions when you're advised to have certain blood tests carried out while you're using HRT. These might include checking levels for oestrogen absorption issues or for testosterone monitoring.
Your GP might be happy to do these tests for you if you ask them ( we can interpret the results once you have them ) but they are not obliged to offer these tests while you are under the care of a private service. If you have blood tests carried out via your GP, please send your results to us prior to your appointment. We just need to be able to see a screen grab or a scanned copy of the results with your name clearly shown, the date of testing and the results and (ranges provided by the lab checking them). Ideally results should be from within the last 3 months. Please send your result to support@yourmenopausenurse.co.uk As an alternative option, we have teamed up with Medichecks who can help ensure that you have your blood tests carried out appropriately for any of the tests we advise you to have. We can also offer you a discount for Medichecksif you book your test using this link
Your results will then be sent direct to you on email.
All that's left for you to do is send a screen grab or a scanned copy of your results to support@yourmenopausenurse.co.uk prior to your next appointment with us.
*We do not advise routine hormonal blood tests if you are over the age of 45 and querying whether you are menopausal or not. Your hormone levels will be fluctuating regularly and results are unlikely to be reliable. Instead, we look at a combination of other factors to help with diagnosis rather than blood tests.
